Despite reaction injection molding (RIM), the end production of medical device products can also choose vacuum casting.

In this case, our client needed a dozen of their newly designed medical devices to test the market. They need the end products but not prototypes. After analyzing their 3D drawings carefully, we proposed vacuum casting instead of RIM.

The detailed solution was as follows:

For the black parts, we used the black ABS-like PU material with black glossy painting; and for the white ones, the beige ABS-like PU material with white matte painting. The logos, which were erased from the picture to protect the client’s information, were silk-screened after painting.

As the client wanted the devices to be assembled when they received them, they sent the inner electronic parts to us for assembly. We ensured there was no interference between components before delivery.
